ORS’ Bottled Liquid Scanner- the MobiLab® BLS– was under live trial at LAX, Los Angeles International Airport during January 8th to 12th, 2018. The operational evaluation of the state of the art screening modality was performed by the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Innovation Task Force (ITF).
The MobiLab® BLS provides an automated screening solution for rapid detection of concealed explosive materials. Endorsed by the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), this easy-to-maintain scanner works with all glass, plastic, ceramic and even paper-wrapped containers of any shape.

ORS’ proprietary screening modality offers added security with minimal or no disruption to passenger throughput. The bottled liquid scanner was under operational testing for 5 days, side by side with currently deployed screening devices. The MobiLab® BLS was operated by trained Transportation Security Officers at Tom Bradley International Terminal and Terminal 7.

February 2015: U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) signs agreement to fund evaluation of MobiLab® ES at a number of government facilities in the U.S. and Europe.
June 2016: U.S. Transportation Security Administration approves contract for ORS to complete new version of the MobiLab® BLS bottled liquid scanner.
March 2017: MobiLab® ES scanner successfully completed second phase of testing at DHS Transportation Security Laboratories.
October 2017: MobiLab® ES TSA live trials at DCA – Ronald Reagan Airport in Washington DC.
January 2018: MobiLab® BLS TSA live trials at LAX – Los Angeles International Airport, Tom Bradley International Terminal and Automated Tray Return Lanes at Terminal 7
